Ram Papatla is Booking.com’s Vice President of Global Experiences, responsible for delivering on the company’s mission to empower people to experience the world through a digital marketplace where customers can seamlessly book great local experiences in every part of the globe. In addition to expanding the scope and breadth of Booking.com’s existing experiences and transport offering to include an even wider array of options for consumers, Ram’s team is also responsible for creating an inclusive and collaborative ecosystem to enable partners of all sizes to connect to the company’s global network. This includes scaling up the efforts of the recently acquired FareHarbor business to provide powerful tools that help tour and activity operators around the world to run their businesses with ease and efficiency.
Prior to joining Booking.com, Ram served as Vice President of Product Management at Flipkart, one of India’s largest ecommerce companies where he was responsible for the consumer product team which served over 100 million customers. Previously Director of Product Management & Marketing for Amazon, he also held various senior leadership roles at Microsoft during his 15-year tenure with the company.
Ram has a degree in Computer Engineering from Andrews University and also studied at the Manipal Institute of Technology.
Ram speaks English, Hindi and Telugu, originally comes from Hyderabad, India and currently resides in Amsterdam.
