A global technology product has the power to empower millions of people. 1 billion people (15% of total population) globally experience some form of disability. It has the power to enable the differently abled and build confidence to become independent. If you are able to achieve this with your product, you’ll end up making a huge impact in the lives of these differently enabled people. The session will explore why being sensitive to accessibility needs helps you achieve competitive advantage. I will deep dive into vision, colour blindness, text size, display contrast and device and shortcut accessibility. The last phase of the session will cover best practices to develop accessibility standards and how you can handle accessibility as part of any new feature.
