Building Products with Empathy
At Google, focusing on the user is the number one priority for any product manager. But with so many different kinds of users, and competing priorities like revenue, growth and retention of users, it’s hard to make sure that no one gets left behind. In this talk, I’ll be talking about recent efforts to elevate the needs of users in wheelchairs within Google Maps, the challenges associated with doing this work, and the learnings that I hope any product manager can take to keep designing for a better — and more empathetic — world.
