The title I am using for this talk is a quote by Peter Drucker which is learnt about 10 years ago. Since then it stuck with me and the longer I am a product leader to more I understand the deep truth of this statement. With my teams, I am prioritising culture -making sure everyone feels it, identifies with it and contributes to its further development.
I have seen how a strong culture in a company/team accelerates the whole product development process, improves product outcome and decreases attrition. It the one growth hack for any company, yet its effect is underestimated because it is hard to measure short-term and hence de-prioritised first when pressure goes up. I will speak about how culture forms itself, the role hiring plays with culture development and how New Work will require some adaption of well established mechanisms.
The talk would be a mix of backed up data and personal stories which I was allowed to experience in my career so far.
