Product Managers have a difficult task, among others: to speak the language of everyone involved in the development process and translate for those uninvolved. In other words, to master the underrated skill that is communication. Inaccurately considered to come naturally, communication is a skill that we rarely develop in a conscious manner, although such a hands-on, structured approach has proven effective for many other abilities.
My speech aims to identify the attributes of efficient communication (including managing emotions and conflict, as well as its connection to cultural differences), to raise awareness of the filters that alter communication and consequently, others’ perception of us and to provide a set of actionable tips and tricks/best practices to help participants enhance communication and become better Product Managers.
I believe in joy, so I intend to create a fun, interactive experience for the audience, to last for a long time.
