Globalization and Internationalization in Product Management
We live in a global world and taking your product to international markets is easier than ever before. Yet still, it is tricky to keep the right balance between keeping your product stable and scalable, but at the same time adopt it to the needs of local users.
In this talk I will use my experience from 10+ years of leading product teams at Amazon, adidas and Kiwi.com, to provide practical examples of globalization, internationalization and localization in product management. PMs should play a critical role in making sure that the product is ready for international expansion, and I will cover the ways you as a product leader can easily incorporate this layer into every element of your product cycle – from research and discovery to prioritization and development.
I will also talk about how to structure your product teams in a way that your company can keep the product rapidly growing but and still keep its focus on international users instead of innovating for the domestic ones only.
