Hacking Sleep with Philips’ Connected SmartSleep Wearable
The making of Philips SmartSleep: a connected wearable for sleep improvement
At CES 2018 Philips announced SmartSleep, the world’s first and only clinically proven wearable solution to improve deep sleep quality for people who do not get enough sleep. For the first time consumers can benefit from Philips’ extensive clinical sleep expertise at the comfort of their own home.
Mobiquity & Philips partnered up with multiple teams around the globe to transform a rough concept into a solution that consumers can actually use at home. In a greenfield setting researchers, marketeers, UX experts, engineering teams worked for months to get it right. The challenge in creating this product was huge: what to build – and what not? What should we consider when building a wearable? How do we get the best experience for our users, combining hardware and software? And how do we keep the solution safe & secure?
In this session you will get a glance behind the scenes in the design and development of this remarkable product.
In June 2018 SmartSleep was named “Best Sleep Monitoring Solution” by MedTech Breakthrough Awards
