This talk is centered around the product and engineering reorganization at adidas Runtastic started in October 2021. The audience will be brought along the journey of transitioning from specific features and user touchpoints in the adidas sports apps to user journeys / experiences across the sports apps.
Like any other organizational restructure, it was far from being easy or simple to execute, even more so to execute successfully. Add a mindset shift for our product and engineering teams (how we consider and approach our users, how we go about initiatives, how we connect them to other teams, how we measure their impact, etc.) and you have a whole level of complexity to handle. But despite the glaring feeling of complete chaos at times, we were able to transform our culture from surviving this change to growing through it successfully.
