The Science of Product Experiments
Product experiments can often be looked upon as a very ad-hoc process with minimal structure. While the goal of a product experiment is to validate hypotheses in the most minimal way possible, there is still a level of rigor and science that can be attached to it. The goal of this session is to walk through the fundamentals of product experiments and show a template for how you can look at experiments in a structured way. The thinking behind this template is driven by my experiences in a science lab during my university days as a research scientist. We go through a step-by-step process of going from idea to hypotheses to prioritization to building experiments and finally proving the hypothesis true or null.
