The Thing About Autonomous Teams

Most tech companies aspire to an autonomous culture where people can do their best work. They want employees to be inspired and set free from the bureaucracy that slows down larger companies. After all, that’s the reason that disruptors win, right?
This combination of both autonomy and impact are hard to achieve, and it never happens by accident. I see many teams struggle to balance autonomy of decisions with doing what the founder(/management) think is right, or mentally balance freedom with constant feedback.
I want to talk about what it takes to practically create an environment where there is freedom to move fast and have a massive impact, without the risk of people and teams doing the wrong thing.
