Product Management in a non-profit organization
Iulia Jacobsson – FIFA TMS
Iulia started going down the product management path a few years ago, without even realizing it. After getting her master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen and working in this field for a few years as a management consultant she needed a change. Tech had always presented an interest, so she started in project management for a software platform for football clubs and associations at FIFA, but gradually got more involved in the development aspects until she officially became the PM.
Jobs-to-be-Done vs. Voice of Customer: Demystifying Product Innovation
Nikolina Fuduric – Black Sheep Marketing GmbH & Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz
Nikolina Fuduric, PhD – I’m a systems-thinker, meaning I like to interconnect information from different disciplines to solve complex problems. This is probably because I grew up bi-culturally (USA & Croatia) and have lived in five countries. Diversity of disciplines, people, ideas and environments makes me feel most alive. That’s why the only career for me is a mosaic career ideally made up of thinking and doing. My thinking occurs at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland and my doing happens with my clients at Black Sheep Marketing GmbH. I’m also involved in women’s cooperatives in Nepal and Uganda to help them develop products for international markets. Ten percent of my consulting earnings go to education & entrepreneurship efforts for empowering girls and women. When I’m chillin’, then I’m usually on my sofa, my bike or lounging by a lake or sea.
Christian Kündig – Senior Product Manager for Scandit
Christian works as a Senior Product Manager for Scandit, a fast-growing tech company in Zurich. After earning a computer science degree from the university of Zurich in 2010, he worked in the banking industry as a technology consultant for three years. Following his passion for adventure, he jumped at the chance when he got the opportunity to move to Vietnam and work as a game producer for a global mobile game development studio. Since 2015 he’s back in Switzerland and works in his current role shepherding products which are turning smartphones into industry-grade barcode scanners and enable customers to ditch legacy devices.
