The businesses and the products we all are working on have the potential to impact the lives of millions. It is essential to look at these millions of users not just as a number but to understand their intent, motivation, and challenges. We want the users not only to be seen but validated, uplifted, and thought of in the product design process. In this talk, I will share the basics of inclusive design, the methodology, and the tools we can and need to use to build impactful products. I will provide some examples and discuss the three main areas of product inclusivity: Belonging- Expanding what’s possible for everyone. Trust and safety- Ensuring our users’ psychological and physical safety during their journey. Crisis response- Supporting our users through critical moments.
