Amin Bashi is an accomplished product executive based in Toronto, recognized for building and scaling prominent technology products and high-performing teams. Currently, he leads Product, Design, and Engineering at Prequel. Previously, Amin served as VP of Product at Product School, co-developing certifications and coaching product leaders at leading companies such as Visa, Microsoft, and Amadeus.
Amin’s entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding Bloom, a company dedicated to empowering individuals in planning for post-retirement life, earning recognition as one of Canada’s top changemakers. His tenure at CareGuide and CrowdRiff saw him and his teams scale digital marketplaces and AI-powered platforms to millions of members and oversee hundreds of millions in payments. At Shopify, Amin led platform and App Store growth during Shopify’s IPO phase. Earlier in his career, Amin worked as a software engineer at Google, AppDirect, and Tradable Bits, deepening his technical expertise.
He holds a BASc in Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MSc from the University of Oxford. Currently, Amin is also an adjunct professor at the Smith School of Business.
